Gone By Morning
She sits under the stars,
Moon as her companion.
Sky unfolding,
Night in all its glory.
Illuminated by lightning,
That flickers like a heart.
Distorting the truth,
Now unrecognizable.
Shrouded in blessed silence,
She welcomes the darkness.
Kissed by the rain,
It hides her tears.
Drops of crystalline beauty;
They fall from her eyes.
They fall from the sky,
True synchronicity.
She is one with the night,
Comforted by its embrace.
Both will fade,
With morning's light.
